Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 9, 2026 • Bukaake Desktop App & Web Showcase

Thank you for choosing Bukaake (“the Application”). We are committed to absolute user privacy, zero data collection, and uncompromising local execution. This Privacy Policy details the data handling practices for both the Bukaake desktop application and this official web landing page.

1. Absolute Local Operation & Zero Telemetry

Bukaake does not collect, log, track, sell, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or usage telemetry.

  • Zero Outbound Network Calls: The desktop application functions entirely offline. It does not contain analytics SDKs, crash trackers, ping endpoints, or telemetry monitors.
  • No Account Required: You do not need to register, create a profile, or provide an email address to download or use Bukaake.
  • Local Configuration Storage: All user preferences (such as window geometry, zoom settings, and keyboard shortcut configurations) are stored strictly on your local disk inside your user application directory.

2. Local File & Image Processing

Bukaake processes images and media files exclusively on your device:

  • Read-Only Access: The application only opens and decodes image files explicitly selected by you via File Explorer, command line arguments, or drag-and-drop actions.
  • In-Memory Decoding: Decoded image data (including high-resolution Camera RAW, SVG, AVIF, and HEIC files) is held in local system and GPU memory and is never uploaded to any remote server or cloud service.
  • Explicit Modifications: File operations (such as saving cropped captures or exports) are performed exclusively at locations chosen by you.

3. Direct3D 11 Screen Recording & Eyedropper

Bukaake includes hardware-accelerated desktop capture tools engineered with security in mind:

  • Hardware Frame Capture: Direct3D 11 desktop frame acquisition occurs entirely within your local GPU pipeline.
  • Local Disk Destination: Recorded screen videos and captured snapshots are written directly to your designated local storage folder. No audio, video, or frame buffer data ever leaves your device.

4. Native Windows OCR Engine

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is powered exclusively by the native Windows Runtime (Windows.Media.Ocr) API:

  • Text extraction occurs locally on your CPU/GPU using offline language models bundled with Windows.
  • Extracted text is placed onto your local system clipboard and is never sent over any network.

5. Web Landing Page & Hosting

This web showcase (kaleksananbagus.com/bukaake/) is a static website hosted without third-party tracking scripts, cookies, or behavioral advertising beacons. Standard web server access logs (such as IP address and user-agent) may be recorded transiently by hosting infrastructure strictly for operational security and DDoS mitigation.

6. Open Source Transparency & License

Bukaake is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). The complete source code is publicly auditable at any time on GitHub: github.com/Crlyzd/Bukaake.
